July 4th Celebration Recap
Posted on Jul 13th, 2021
Over 250 residents came out on Sunday to celebrate the July 4th holiday. It was a wonderful event that started out with a parade and ended at the community center where everyone gathered to partake in fun family activities, meet the local fire department, and connect with their neighbors!
The festivities started with a parade through the streets of Lake Pointe led by the Lake Travis Fire Rescue and their bright fire engine. Residents followed along with bikes, wagons, and golf carts decked out in red, white, and blue. The route ended at the park where patriotic music was playing and more fun awaited everyone.
Kids had a blast jumping around in the bounce house, taking turns going down the enormous inflatable slide, chasing bubbles, and getting a tour of a real fire truck. Both kids and adults took part in a fun (and messy!) watermelon eating contest with adults going on to compete in a pie-eating contest. Neighbors could also be found catching up with family and friends over donuts, coffee, and juice boxes. It was a wonderful way to kick off the Independence Day holiday!
Thank you to everyone who came out to make the event such a success. We look forward to seeing you on August 21st for Dive-In Movie Night.
